Scanning Electron Microscope Engineer

Your mission
To strengthen our R&D team in Estonia working with cell development, We are looking for a new colleague experienced and passionate about the operation and maintenance of our internal and external microscopy analysis particularly SEM. You will play a significant role in supporting our analytics and characterization capabilities about solid oxide cell development, cell prototypes, periodical quality control of our product, developing our in-house SEM expertise, and maintaining SEM equipment as well as sample preparation tools.

Finally, you will be participating in continuous product development work.
Your tasks
•    Managing and maintaining SEM instruments as well as SEM sample preparation tools. Follow maintenance schedule, purchasing consumables, organizing working place.
•    Conduit SEM/EDS analysis of samples in-house with required prior sample preparation, data acquisition, data management, and providing conclusive reports.
•    Collaboration and coordination of SEM capabilities with R&D in our Finnish entity
•    Communication with external research centers and laboratories for conducting more complex SEM/TEM studies.
•    Assist in other analytical and research activities of the company, investigation of new equipment types and testing methodologies.
•    Contribute to departmental quality objectives including contributing to drafting documentation and procedures.
•    Operate according to the health and safety laboratory practices and standards.
•    Other R&D and Production-related supporting activities assigned by direct management.
Your profile
•    M.Sc. in chemistry, materials science, physics, or similar (Ph.D. is considered to be an asset).
•    Hands-on work experience with SEM instrument and SEM sample preparation tools, knowledge of analytical chemistry, chemical laboratory work, and material characterization, including chemical safety and laboratory practices.
•    Work experience with other laboratory analytical instruments and techniques is welcome.
•    Interest in image post-processing using advanced software tools is considered.
•    Fluent in English 
•    Ability and enthusiasm for hands-on laboratory work, ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
•    High aptitude for safety.
