Technology Automation Engineer - Cell Production

Your mission
Join Elcogen as an Automation Engineer and play an important role in advancing our production technology. Your mission will be to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions for our manufacturing processes. By leveraging your expertise, you'll contribute to the efficient and effective production of our cutting-edge green hydrogen technologies, helping us achieve our goal of a sustainable energy future.
Your tasks
  • Design and Development: Responsible for the design specifications, selection, engineering, installation, and commissioning of factory automated machinery and processes, including PLCs, conveyors, robots, and sensor technologies.
  • Collaboration with Suppliers: Work with equipment suppliers to identify and implement the best solutions for manufacturing automation.
  • Industrialization Support: Assist the industrialization team during the scaling up of new production lines and processes.
  • Equipment Management: Participate in the selection, engineering, manufacturing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), installation, commissioning, SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), validation, and ramp-up of new production equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: During ramp-up, monitor production parameters, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and productivity targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collect and transfer lessons learned and data from various lines and facilities, working according to continuous improvement and LEAN principles.
  • Training: Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and equipment, ensuring smooth implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Your profile
  • Educational Background: Degree in automation, electronics, or a relevant field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in automation engineering within industrial companies, with hands-on involvement in factory operations. Experience in deploying, commissioning, and ramping up new production lines is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with production equipment, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA systems.
  • Work Environment: Thrive in an agile, dynamic, and innovative environment, with exposure to multicultural and international teams.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong goal orientation, curiosity, eagerness to learn, and excellent English written and oral skills (knowledge of Estonian, Russian, Finnish, or other languages is a plus).
