Facility Automation Engineer

Your mission

As a Facility Automation Engineer at Elcogen, you will coordinate the design and implementation of factory infrastructure, including the Building Integration System (BIS). Your mission is to ensure the integration and alignment of the facility infrastructure with the overall company IT strategy, meeting both facility and process requirements. Your role is crucial in achieving the company’s goals and targets through innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Your tasks

Compliance with IT Standards: Follow standards and specifications set by the IT department for building infrastructure, ensuring they meet the needs of both the facility and manufacturing processes.
System Integration Engineering: Coordinate system integration engineering throughout various project stages.
Discrepancy Management: Control and resolve any discrepancies in the overall Building Management System (BMS) design.
Subsystem Integration: Ensure subsystem network connection and integration align with company requirements and proper software interfaces.
Innovation and Cost-Effectiveness: Promote innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions, utilizing experience, lessons learned, and best practices.
Procurement and Installation Coordination: Oversee the procurement and installation of relevant hardware components and network distribution.
Support to Project Management: Assist Project Managers and the Supply Chain team with relevant procurement and tenders.
Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations in close collaboration with the IT department.
Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure proper coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
Handover to Manufacturing: Facilitate a seamless handover to manufacturing for effective facility management.
Debugging and Validation: Assist with debugging and correct test validation.
Project Feedback: Collect, record, and report all relevant project feedback, benchmarks, and lessons learned.
Additional Tasks: Follow up on any other instructions from direct managers.

Your profile

Education: University degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline. Alternatively, secondary technical education with proven relevant experience in the role.
Experience: Proven experience in integrated system design and managing the design of complex industrial facilities, ideally in a similar business area.
Technical Skills: Proficient in hardware and software configuration and system development.
Work Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strong change management skills.
Communication Skills: Fluent English speaking and writing skills. Good communication and cooperation skills.
