As a Cost Engineer & Operating Model Specialist, you will develop and maintain manufacturing process and product cost models for Elcogen’s cell, stack, and module production. Your work will enable scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, providing critical insights to support strategic management decisions.
Your tasks
  • Operating Model Development: Build and maintain comprehensive operating models for Elcogen’s manufacturing processes, aligning with business control structures and data.
  • Cost Modeling: Create sophisticated cost models to predict the costs of goods sold (COGS) considering variables like product mix, factory utilization, and product improvements.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure cost models reflect production complexities.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Work closely with the Supply Chain Management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction in components and raw materials.
  • Process Improvements: Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team to identify and implement process and cost optimization strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Provide detailed cost analyses and reports to inform business cases, investment decisions, and pricing strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Update models to incorporate new technologies, materials, and methods, driving operational excellence.
Your profile
  • MSc in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control, cost modeling, or financial analysis, with exposure to manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools/methodologies (e.g., FMEA, lean manufacturing, 5S, MTM, VSM).
  • Experience evaluating project costs and justifying capital projects.
  • Structured problem-solving experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
