Join Elcogen as a Business Controller - Product Costing & Management Reporting and play a key role in product costing and keeping ERP system up-to-date.

In this role, you will take ownership of product cost development within our ERP system and support the Group Business Controller with insightful analysis and reporting. You will ensure cost accuracy, standardization, and alignment with financial strategies, while working closely with Operations, R&D, and Finance teams. Your contributions will directly impact profitability, efficiency, and financial predictability across the group.

Your tasks

Product Costing & Costing Manual

Own and manage product cost calculations in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational reality.
Analyze standard vs. actual costs, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency.
Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Costing Manual, ensuring standardized costing principles, methodologies, and allocation rules across the group.
Collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Procurement to enhance cost visibility, optimize bill of materials (BOM), and ensure accurate costing of new products and product modifications.
Drive process improvements in cost allocation, overhead absorption, and inventory valuation methodologies.

ERP, Data Structures & BI

Develop and maintain financial data structures within ERP and BI systems, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Support ERP financial module development and testing, enhancing automation, accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
Contribute to the evolution of costing-related data structures, such as standard deviations, product structures, and work centers.

Your profile

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: Several years in a business controlling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of accounting, costing principles, and financial analysis.
- Hands-on experience with product costing; experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and BI tools.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
Language Skills: Fluency in English; Estonian is a plus.
