R&D Technician – Solid Oxide Cell Technology

Your mission
To strengthen our R&D team in Estonia, we are seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Technician to support the development, fabrication, and testing of SOCs. This role is crucial in advancing our research by ensuring precise material processing, cell assembly, and electrochemical testing.
Your tasks
  • Assist in the preparation, processing, and fabrication of ceramic fuel cells, including electrolytes and electrodes.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment for milling, mixing, sintering, tape casting, and screen printing.
  • Conduct material characterization (e.g., XRD, SEM, BET, TGA, PSD) and analysis.
  • Document experimental procedures and results, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Maintain lab safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support ongoing R&D activities.


Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience in ceramic material processing and fabrication techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of electrochemical testing and material characterization.
  • Strong technical skills in handling laboratory equipment and high-temperature furnaces.
  • Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with ceramic fuel cell technology.
  • Familiarity with coating, deposition, and sintering techniques.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and quality standards.
